Shalif’s parents couldn’t afford to provide for his basic needs. He and his brother decided to go to the streets in Kampala to look for jobs. Sadly his brother died from lung cancer as a result of smoking. Shalif spent 3 years on the streets. Since joining the New Life Homes Shalif has worked hard at school.

Since January 2007 Abaana has been supporting street children in Kampala. We play games, tell bible stories, give basic medical care, and provide a good meal.
